In this three-hour hands-on workshop, you’ll learn everything you need to start adding blinky lights, music, sensors, and other fun electronic features to your next project. No experience necessary. We’ll be using Microsoft MakeCode, a free tool that lets you snap together programs on any PC, Mac, ChromeBook, or iPad.
1. Purchase an Adafruit Circuit Playground Express (available from Adafruit, Amazon, or Active Tech) Make sure the board has Express in the name. There are early versions named simply “Circuit Playground” which are incompatible with MakeCode.
2. Bring a laptop, Chromebook, or iPad.
